VEFF II Occupational Health and Safety Programme
Occupational health and safety capability built across the technical and vocational training system, delivered in the provinces rather than in Vientiane.
All 14 planned workshops delivered across 11 provinces to 244 participants, 96.8% attendance, 75 of 82 planned site visits completed. 89 participants — 36.5% — were women.

Localised ILO guidelines for reporting occupational accidents and diseases
Authored the Lao-context guidelines for the reporting, recording and notification of occupational accidents and diseases, in Lao and English.
The guidelines are the reference SSI's own incident reporting work is built on.

National SOP on Business Reopening in the New Normal
Developed the national standard operating procedure in consultation with the tripartite constituents, with Training of Trainers delivery.
Adopted as national guidance, with trainers equipped to deliver it onward.

ILO Conventions C155 and C187 — comparative analysis, technical translation
Technical translation of the comparative analysis findings between the ILO conventions and Lao law.
Lao OSH terminology matched to the regulation rather than to the dictionary.

List of Occupational Diseases adopted by Laos — technical translation
Technical translation of the list of occupational diseases adopted by Lao PDR.

5S training and certification of LNCCI member companies
5S implementation in member workplaces, with joint certification of the result.
Workplaces are certified jointly by SSI and LNCCI under the MOU.

Five-year technical collaboration agreement
Technical collaboration on occupational safety and health across the Ministry's programme of work.
SSI also holds MOUs with LNCCI and the Trade Union Development Institute; SSI's Managing Director serves on the LNCCI Board.

Safety officer training and certification programme
Training and certification of the safety officers Lao law requires businesses to appoint, delivered in Lao, English or Chinese, at the client's site or ours.

Independent assessment of Lao workplaces against Lao OSH law and the client's own standards.

VEFF II Occupational Health and Safety Programme
The Vocational Education and Employment Fund asked for occupational health and safety capability to be built across the technical and vocational training system, in the provinces, not in Vientiane. SSI delivered every workshop in the plan.
Further case studies are held back until the client has approved publication.
